Chinese property investors are ‘driving the prices up’ for Australians | Sky News Australia

Liberal Party Defence and National Security Policy Chair Lincoln Parker says Chinese property owners in Australia are investing in residential real estate “to the tune of $3.4 billion dollars a year”.

Mr Parker told Sky News host Erin Molan that it equates to about $65 million dollars per week – “every week”.

“Which is driving the prices up for the average person.

“I just think that the Australian government ought to be looking after our people first.

“As opposed to getting rich off Chinese investors.”
