$7 million Strathfield home set to smash the suburb record

STRATHFIELD is set to have another suburb record broken with the sale of a luxurious eight-bedroom house.

Listed with a price guide of $7 million, the property at 2 Llandilo Ave is expected to eclipse the current record of $6.825 million set by a seven-bedroom home at 47 Newton Rd.

The house has been tightly held by its owners who bought it in 1988 for $1.03 million and are now selling to downsize.

“It’s the largest block of land ever to sell in Strathfield in walking distance to a station,” principal Robert Pignataro said.

The house is only open for inspection via private appointment.

Mr Pignataro said all the buyers who had seen it so far were been local professional families.

The home was custom built with 2500 tonnes of sandstone from Darling Harbour.
