January 2025 quarter

Market conditions from the latter part of last year have carried over into 2025, with a steady rise in new listings. The increased supply is offering buyers more time to make informed decisions, which has led to longer selling times and prompted some sellers to adjust their pricing expectations in order to secure a timely sale. Notably, there’s been a clear uptick in buyer enquiries, reflecting a growing interest among prospective buyers and hinting at a potential shift in market dynamics. Combined with the RBA’s recent cut to the cash rate, and while one rate cut alone won’t completely transform the landscape for homeowners or buyers, it marks an important first step that could help boost buyer confidence.
